Bliss Americas supplies diaphragm seals (also called chemical seals or remote seals) that isolate pressure gauges, transmitters, and switches from process media that would otherwise corrode, clog, freeze, or thermally damage the instrument. The range covers gold-coated, high-temperature, and PTH configurations for refining, petrochemical, chemical processing, and upstream oil & gas service. Seal assemblies are built for ASME flange ratings with NACE MR0175 wetted materials available for sour service.
Refineries in Texas, Louisiana, and the Pennsylvania/Ohio belt run diaphragm seals on hydrotreater and reformer pressure loops (gold-coated for hydrogen service), on hot residue and crude unit overhead lines (high-temperature seals), and on FCC slurry where direct-mounted instruments plug.
Chemical plants specify corrosion-resistant wetted materials - to measure pressure in service that destroys standard stainless. Flush-mount diaphragms eliminate the dead pockets where crystallizing or polymerizing media would otherwise foul the connection.
Wellhead and separator instrumentation in sour service requires NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 wetted materials. Diaphragm seals protect transmitters from sand, produced water, and H₂S while keeping the electronics serviceable.
